It hit, the boat shook. Then the explosion. The other half of the boat blew up. I grabbed my bag and got to the top deck. I saw us sinking. All the chaos everything just going down. Everyone running, every thing hectic. I decided just to jump. The 40 foot dive was the longest time of my life. I hit the water so cold, so crisp and piecing at my skin. I see the boat going down under water.
All the men at the windows looking out. They are going down while I’m just sitting there looking. The faces just looking, knowing their fate. The look of despair knowing what will happen.

I looked back knowing that I was lucky. The ship went down, now the waters calm. The water so flet like nothing had happened. Then the bubbles came up escaping the grip of death. They had been lucky unlike the men on the ship. I was new on the ship not having any friends but I could the feel grief for my fellow shipmates. I knew that the ordeal wasn’t over for me. I still had to find a recue ship and get to land.

I sat on the top of the water looking at the top of the water. Suddely the water turned black. It was oil,” Oh crap”, I thought to myself. The fighting was stilll going on, and with a shot from an enemy palne the water would ignite and set the ocean on fire.
