Have you ever thought that you could have prevented something from happening? Ever thought you could have done some thing in the world to prevent? In this book he did something. Duncan is 17 year old, between sophomore and junior year of high school. He lives in Toronto, Canada, in the “Jungle” apartment complexes. His summer job is the in “The Dungeon” of the Toronto lost and found (for the stuff people leave on the buses and the subway trains). He’s found a diary; it’s a plan to do harm. A man has planned, stalked and about to execute. He got to prevent it.
This book reminded me of 9/11, bringing the best and worst out of people. But this reminded me specifically about United 93. The people sitting their thinking,” What’s just happened what’s happening? What is this?” Then realizing where their headed, the White House or other targets around the US. They then got the courage to make a plan and execute it in less than 4 hours. They sacrificed there lives so then others could live. They thought it was better if other people lived other than them.
This also brought me back to timing is everything. My grandpa died the day before Valentine’s Day this year. I cried on what was supposed to be the most loving time of the year. In my book they get luck break from timing. But also they almost get something from timing. I also had my other grandparents get in a horrific car crash 5 days later. Luckily they didn’t get killed. They did get badly injured though. That was the worst timing in the year that that could of happened.
I would recommend this book who likes action and mystery books. I also recommend this book to anyone who likes happy endings. Don’t read if you like super long books with nothing interesting. This is one of the best books that I have read. You can’t not like this book it is amazing.
